Flights:
For the outbound flight from Christchurch, all students are required to meet Mrs Edge and Barry promptly at 8:30am by the Air NZ check in desk.
| Flight # | Date | From | To | Depart | Arrive |
| NZ5180 | 18 November 2020 | Christchurch | Palmerston North | 10.00am | 11.15am |
| NZ5181 | 21 November 2020 | Palmerston North | Christchurch | 10.00am | 11.40am |
Baggage:
Students will be provided with a Heaton sports backpack for their carry on items, and are able to check in a personal cricket bag and small checked clothing bag. Please place as many items in your cricket bag as you can, as the checked in bag must be a soft-shell style (no suitcases). With the limited flight schedules and small plane, this is very important. If your clothes bag fits inside your cricket bag, even better!
Arrival at Palmerston North:
Upon arrival at Palmerston North (E.T.A of 11:15am), our Heaton team will be transported directly to the cricket grounds via a super shuttle. Once at the grounds Mrs Edge and Barry will collect the rental van keys from the Waihi School team manager, and will attend a managers/coach meeting.
First Game, Opening Ceremony and Players Dinner:
The first game is scheduled to take place at 2:00pm on Wednesday 18th November, so our Heaton team will not be settling into their accommodation prior to this match. At the conclusion of the first match, NZ cricket host a short opening ceremony for the six schools in attendance, followed by a players BBQ dinner.
Based on the finishing time of our first match and start time of the opening ceremony, Mrs Edge will make a decision about whether our Heaton team will check in to our accomodation before the evening events commence.
Accommodation:
Our team will be staying at the the Massey Manawatu Halls (Massey University). This is located on the Cnr of University Ave and Rehab Road. The accommodation includes bedding, linen, towels, tea/coffee making facilities, single sex bathrooms (each with lockable shower/sink/toilet), WIFI, communal hub (lounge and dining area) and a fully equipped self catered kitchen.
At the time of our booking there are no other groups on site, apart from two other girls’ cricket teams competing in the tournament (which will be allocated in a different wing). All rooms have key access and guests need a fob to access the main doors.
