Heaton Cross Country Team 2025
Meeting Time: All students are required to meet Mrs Henderson in the Heaton Hall at 10:40am. The team bus will depart promptly at 11am so please ensure you are prompt and organised.
If your parent/caregiver would prefer to take you directly to the venue in the morning, they must contact Mrs Henderson via email before Friday 20th June.
Event Times:
Year 7 Girls 3km 12.10pm start time
Year 7 Boys 3km 12.30pm start time
Year 8 Girls 3km 12.50pm start time
Year 8 Boys 3km 1.10pm start time
Years 7 & 8 prizegiving approximately 1.40pm
Marshalling Assistance: If you are attending the event to watch and support your son/daughter and you are able to assist Primary Sports Canterbury with marshalling duties on the track, please contact Mrs Henderson. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
Cost: As the Cross Country Championships is an opt-in (user pay) opportunity, participation will incur a cost that covers the return bus trip to Ngā Puna Wai. Equipment Requirements: Please note, spikes cannot be used for this event
- Heaton PE Kit
- Packed lunch with sufficient healthy snacks
- Lots of water
- All relevant personal medication e.g. ventolin, epipen
- Black or navy tracksuit pants, a weatherproof jacket and a warm-over garment top
- Spare shoes
- Spare socks
- Plastic bag to transport any wet or muddy clothing
Additional Information: If, for any reason, you no longer wish to take part or are sick on the day of the event, please email Mrs Henderson asap so the opportunity can be offered to another student on our waiting list.
Event T-shirts: If you would like to order a cross-country t-shirt, please complete this form. These can either either be paid for by bank transfer or cash on the day.
