At the conclusion of the first match, NZ cricket host a short opening ceremony for the six schools in attendance, followed by a players BBQ dinner.

Based on the finishing time of our first match and start time of the opening ceremony, Mrs Edge will make a decision about whether our Heaton team will check in to our accomodation before the evening events commence.

Accommodation:

Our team will be staying at the the Massey Manawatu Halls (Massey University). This is located on the Cnr of University Ave and Rehab Road. The accommodation includes bedding, linen, towels, tea/coffee making facilities, single sex bathrooms (each with lockable shower/sink/toilet), WIFI, communal hub (lounge and dining area) and a fully equipped self catered kitchen.

At the time of our booking there are no other groups on site, apart from two other girls’ cricket teams competing in the tournament (which will be allocated in a different wing). All rooms have key access and guests need a fob to access the main doors.
