Heaton Cross Country 2020

DSC_0227

Congratulations to all participants who took part in the 2020 Heaton cross country event at Elmwood Park. Our students produced some brilliant performances in perfect cross country conditions (cold, windy and muddy).

The event was a big success thanks largely to our Heaton Sports Leaders, who set up, marshalled, timed and recorded all four races. All student helpers should be commended for their efforts and dedication throughout the day. A big thank you must also go out to the Heaton teaching team for their support, and the enthusiastic staff runners who kept our students motivated!

The top 10 finishes in each race will now go on to represent Heaton at next Wednesdays inter-schools cross country championships, held at Halswell Quarry. We wish them all the best and congratulate them for their amazing results.
